Senior Sales Executive - Modern Retail

Role & responsibilities

This position will be responsible for driving sales growth, managing key modern trade accounts, ensuring strong in-store execution, and building collaborative relationships with key stakeholders. The role demands excellent negotiation skills, execution discipline, and the ability to drive visibility and sell-out across modern trade formats

Preferred candidate profile

Account Management

• Manage relationships with modern trade key accounts for national chains.
• Ensure timely execution of listings, promotions, planograms, and visibility agreements.
  

Sales Planning & Achievement

• Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for assigned accounts and territory.
• Track primary and secondary sales and ensure consistent sell-through across outlets.
  

In-Store Execution & Merchandising

• Ensure planogram compliance, shelf share improvement, and high-quality in-store merchandising.
• Responsible for adequate staffing of In-Shop Demonstrator in the stores.

Promotions & Trade Marketing Coordination

• Execute trade promotions, consumer offers, and marketing activation programs in stores.
• Track ROI and effectiveness of Modern Retail promotions.
• Maintain strong coordination with the Trade Marketing team for POS deployment and visibility initiatives

Supply Chain & Logistics Coordination

• Work closely with warehouse teams and account supply chain teams to ensure timely replenishment.
• Monitor stock levels, ageing, returns, and resolve delivery-related issues proactively.

Reporting & Analysis

• Prepare weekly and monthly dashboards covering sales, visibility, promotions, and competitor insights.
• Analyse account performance and provide data-backed recommendations for improvement.
• Manage claims, reconciliations, and adherence to commercial processes.
