Automation Test Engineer

What you’ll do:

• Design, develop, and maintain robust test automation frameworks and intelligent agentic systems that autonomously plan, reason, and execute complex workflows.
• Build and orchestrate automated test suites using tools such as Selenium and Playwright for web and API testing.
• Write efficient, scalable, and clean code primarily in Python and Shell scripting, with optional use of Go or Java.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to enable seamless deployment and iterative development.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new automation features in an Agile development environment.
• Ensure the availability, reliability, and performance of automated test agents and supporting services.
• Monitor and optimize test performance, including execution efficiency, latency, and resource usage.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to test automation, agent behavior, orchestration, and integration.
• Deliver measurable improvements in automation coverage, defect detection, and user satisfaction.

This role is an Individual Contributor position, closely collaborating with team members and reporting to the Engineering Manager.

What makes you a qualified candidate:

• B.Tech/M.Tech/MCA/MSc in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related disciplines.
• 5+ years of relevant industry experience in test automation or intelligent systems development.
• Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Selenium and Playwright.
• Strong proficiency in Python and Shell scripting; familiarity with REST APIs.
• Experience working in Linux environments and containerized setups using Docker.
• Proven experience in one or more public cloud platforms – AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Solid understanding of relational databases and proficiency in SQL.
• Familiarity with automation coding tools such as GitHub Copilot, or VS Code extensions.
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
