About the Role

API automation

Key Responsibilities

• Develop automation test scripts for

  API testing (REST/SOAP)

  .
• Work with frameworks like

  RestAssured, Postman/Newman, Karate, Cypress, or Playwright

  .
• Create and maintain automation frameworks using Java/Python/TypeScript.
• Work with

  Azure DevOps pipelines

  for automated test execution.
• Implement test plans for microservices and cloud-based applications.
• Perform

  functional, regression, integration, load, and performance testing

  .
• Analyze test failures, debug issues, and ensure high-quality product delivery.
• Coordinate with developers and product owners in Agile sprints.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of

  API Automation

  (must).
• Experience with

  Java/Python/TypeScript automation frameworks

  .
• Strong hands-on with

  Postman, RestAssured, Swagger, JMeter

  .
• Experience with

  Azure DevOps

  , CI/CD pipelines, and automated test execution.
• Understanding of

  microservices testing

  , mocking, stubbing.
• Strong skills in writing

  test cases, debugging, and automation strategy

  .
• Experience with Git, Agile processes, and test management tools (Jira, Zephyr).

Good to Have

• Knowledge of Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
• Docker/Kubernetes basics.
• Knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases for backend validation.
• Performance testing experience.
