Senior Production Manager

The Production Manager will lead end-to-end bioprocessing operations, ensuring efficient, safe, and compliant production of innovative protein products. This role bridges strategic manufacturing objectives with hands-on shop-floor execution, driving productivity, quality, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and manage production schedules to achieve on-time delivery and optimal resource utilization.
  
• Oversee all bioprocessing stagesincluding cell culture, fermentation, purification, and formulationensuring adherence to quality and safety standards.
  
• Lead, mentor, and train production staff to build a high-performing, continuously learning team.
  
• Track and analyze production metrics to drive process optimization, cost reduction, and productivity improvements.
  
• Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain, and Engineering teams, particularly for technology transfer and process scale-up.
  
• Ensure strict compliance with GMP, ISO, SQF, and all regulatory and safety requirements.
  
• Troubleshoot process deviations, conduct root-cause investigations, and implement CAPA.
  
• Oversee raw material planning, inventory management, and procurement to support uninterrupted production.
  
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and support factory readiness for new technologies, products, and equipment rollouts.
  
• Prepare, review, and present production and performance reports to support leadership decision-making.
  

Desired Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters degree in

  Biotechnology, Bioprocess Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field

  .

• 8+ years of experience

  in biomanufacturing; experience in alternative/smart protein or biopharmaceutical production preferred.
• Proven experience managing production teams and driving operational excellence.
  
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements, GMP, and industrial safety standards.
  
• Proficiency in analytical, technical, and project management skills;

  Lean / Six Sigma / PMP certification
