Industry: FIBC Manufacturing (Top Manufacturing Company)Role Overview: We are looking for an accomplished Senior Production Manager FIBC Cutting, Printing & Stitching Operations to lead high-volume production processes at our advanced FIBC manufacturing unit in Tumkur. The ideal candidate must have strong experience in managing large-scale manpower, optimizing manufacturing processes, and ensuring world-class quality and efficiency. This role is critical, overseeing 500+ workmen across cutting, printing, and stitching operations.
2. Manpower Management (500+ Workforce)Manage, motivate, and develop a large workforce consisting of operators, helpers, supervisors, and shift leaders.Deploy optimal manpower planning to ensure cost-efficiency and high productivity.Build a culture of discipline, safety, teamwork, and ownership across all shifts.
3. Process Improvement & Efficiency OptimizationImprove productivity in stitching lines, cutting tables, and printing machines through systematic interventions.Implement Lean manufacturing tools, Kaizen, 5S, SMED, and best practices for continuous improvement.Reduce rejections, rework, and quality defects through root cause elimination and strong process controls.
4. Quality Assurance & Customer StandardsEnsure adherence to international FIBC quality standards and customer specifications.Work closely with the QA team to implement checkpoints and reduce quality complaints.Ensure printed outputs, cutting accuracy, and stitching quality meet required tolerances and visual standards.
5. Cost & Waste ReductionMinimize fabric wastage, printing errors, cutting deviations, and stitching defects through preventive systems.Drive initiatives to reduce operational costs without compromising quality or safety.Improve overall labor efficiency and operational metrics.
6. Cross-Functional CoordinationCollaborate with Planning, Maintenance, Stores, QA, HR, and Logistics teams for smooth operations.Ensure timely material availability and machine uptime.Support production planning and capacity enhancement initiatives.
7. People Development & LeadershipMentor supervisors and line leaders to build strong second-line leadership.Conduct skill development programs for workers to improve quality and speed.Create a motivating and performance-driven environment.
Key Requirements:Experience: Minimum 15+ years in FIBC manufacturing with strong exposure to cutting, printing, and stitching operations.
Manpower Leadership: Proven experience managing 500 or more people in a manufacturing setup.
Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of fabric handling, cutting layouts, printing techniques, and FIBC stitching processes.
Operational Excellence: Strong skills in productivity improvement, waste reduction, and process optimization.
Leadership Qualities: Excellent team leadership, decision-making, and conflict-handling abilities.
Analytical Skills: Data-driven approach with strong problem-solving skills.
Education: Degree/Diploma in Textile Technology, Mechanical/Production Engineering, or related discipline.
Soft Skills: Strong communication, planning, and coordination ability.
