Senior Production Executive

Job Title:

Key Responsibilities:

A. Production Planning & Control

• Prepare and execute daily/weekly/monthly production plans based on orders and sales forecasts.
• Ensure uninterrupted manufacturing of premixes, mineral mixtures, feed supplements, bolus, powders, liquids, etc.
• Coordinate with Purchase, Stores, QC, QA, and Maintenance to ensure availability of raw materials, packaging materials,and equipment.
• Monitor production KPIs: output, wastage, yields, manpower efficiency, downtime, and on-time production.

B. Manufacturing Operations

• Oversee blending, batch mixing, granulation (if applicable), liquid mixing, filling, and packing operations.
• Ensure correct process parameters, batch sizes, and formulations are followed.
• Maintain accuracy in weighing, mixing, and dosing of raw materials.
• Ensure equipment is operated safely and efficiently.

C. Quality & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with FSSAI, GMP, ISO, and other relevant regulatory requirements for feed supplement manufacturing.
• Implement and monitor hygienic practices and cross-contamination control.

D. Documentation & Reporting

• Ensure accurate maintenance of batch production records (BPR), logbooks, and daily production reports.
• Review formulation sheets, batch sheets, and ensure consistency between production and formulation teams.
• Maintain documentation related to equipment usage, cleaning, and preventive maintenance.
• Provide daily/weekly/monthly MIS reports to management.

E. Inventory & Material Management

• Monitor consumption of raw materials and packaging materials.
• Ensure timely requisitioning of materials to avoid shortages.
• Work with Warehouse team for FIFO/FEFO compliance.
• Control wastage and optimize material usage.

F. Team Supervision & Training

• Manage shift supervisors, operators, helpers, and technical staff.
• Conduct training on SOPs, hygiene, safety, equipment handling, and good manufacturing practices.
• Evaluate performance and improve team productivity.
• Maintain discipline and smooth workflow on the shop floor.

G. Equipment, Safety & Maintenance

• Ensure equipment readiness and cleanliness before each batch.
• Coordinate with maintenance team for preventive maintenance and breakdown repairs.

Required Qualifications:

• Education:

  B.Sc , M.Sc , B.Pharm

• Experience:

  4-10 years in manufacturing/production operations (pharma/healthcare preferred)

Required Skills:

• Expertise in dispensing, batch preparation, and basic production operations.
• Knowledge of tablet, powder, or other dosage forms.
• Basic computer skills for reporting and record-keeping.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow SOPs accurately.
• Good coordination and communication skills to work effectively with production, QA/QC, and packaging teams.
• Manpower management and leadership skills
