Role & responsibilities

As a Product Owner based in our Chennai office, you`ll be the voice of the customer for two dedicated engineering teams. You`ll drive product strategy by converting customer needs and requirements into prioritized features. This is a highly collaborative role, requiring you to navigate overlapping, yet distinct, domains with US-based Product Managers.The Product Owner owns the team backlog and drives the development process in an Agile/Scrum environment, serving as the critical link between customer value and development execution. This role requires a minimum of 8 years of prior Product Owner experience and reports to a Staff Product Manager.

Essential Responsibilities:Product Definition & Backlog Ownership
• Own, groom, and maintain the Jira backlog for two dedicated engineering teams. This includes writing, prioritizing, and refining user stories, feature acceptance criteria, and backlog items.• Channel the voice of the customer and represent their interests in all team discussions.• Assist Product Managers in roadmap planning and estimation of program timelines.• Lead and manage all necessary Scrum ceremonies (refinement, planning, review, retrospective, daily stand-ups) to ensure process efficiency.• Work with two US-based Product Managers and two Chennai-based engineering teams on complex, overlapping domains.• Partner with the Quality Assurance (QA) team to ensure clear definitions of done. • Demonstrate extremely effective English speaking proficiency for clear, concise, and objective communication with all stakeholders.• Effective cross-cultural communication and ability to work with diverse global, onshore, and offshore teams.• Education and Experience:• 8+ years of prior experience as a Product Owner in a software development environment utilizing Agile/Scrum.• Must demonstrate experience and proficiency in at least one of the following technical domains: Back Office SaaS Tools, Mobile Device Management (MDM) Software, General Android Mobile Technology• Proven familiarity and hands-on experience with Jira and Confluence.• Extremely high level of proficiency in verbal and written English for global collaboration.• Proven ability to lead and facilitate discussions with the technology team in the Agile system development process.• Open-minded, decisive, self-directed, and able to learn new systems and handle changing priorities quickly.
