About The Team And The Role

Our Swiggy Data Platform + Metrics platform team helps teams align on metric definitions to ensure decisions are not just being made fast, but based on the correct data. In this role, you'll be leading the effort to identify and address the gaps that hinder other internal teams' onboarding and consuming data on Snowflake and Databricks. The role would also involve leveraging the metrics platform and its capabilities to standardise metrics, dimensions across different functions. You will work closely with the engineering, data science and design partners to develop cutting-edge functionality that will democratize access to sophisticated data insights, making processing and visualizing terabytes of data as easy as asking a question in a human language.

What Will You Get To Do Here

>Co-build the roadmap of our Data Platform in collaboration with Data Engineering, Analytics, Data Science and other stakeholders.>Lead the exploration and building the semantic layer of Swiggy and thus enabling the data for AI@Swiggy>Own the product area for metrics and metric definitions used across Swiggy for reporting and analysis as part of the Product Intelligence team, partnering with Engineering, Data Science, Operations, and other key functional teams to develop a product vision and roadmap.>Lead exploration across teams to deeply understand how customers derive insights from data today and evangelize solutions built by the team in order to enable faster and more accurate data-driven decisions.>Identify and prioritize use cases for standardized metrics, dimensions, and BI tools, explore the blockers for other internal teams to adopt those, translate user stories into clear PRDs, and maintain an actionable product backlog.

What Qualities Are We Looking For

>Strong collaboration and communication skills - the metrics platform has many stakeholders across multiple teams and this person should be comfortable working across the organization to align on objectives.>Proven technical skills - the ability to deep dive into engineering and data science to understand trade-offs and provide prioritization guidance.>Experience launching company-wide initiatives in a highly cross-matrixed environment, creating alignment through collaboration and influence around new processes and tools.>Ability to write SQL queries, a good understanding of data pipelines and structures (Hive, Kafka) and analytical tools like PowerBI, * Tableau.>Have shipped projects related to data governance, curation, and visualization.>AI or Gen AI understanding - a plus."We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regards to race, color, religion, sex, disability status, or any other characteristic protected by the law"
