Job Description

As a Senior Product Manager at Morningstar Retirement group, you will be responsible for leading the product development process for managed accounts applications. Your key responsibilities will include: - Mentoring junior product managers to foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement within the product team. - Collaborating with cross-functional teams such as engineering, QA, design, marketing, and sales to develop and refine product requirements, ensuring technical feasibility and adherence to quality standards. - Partnering closely with product leaders to champion initiatives that align with Retirement business goals. - Leading a cross-functional team to ensure timely and high-quality product delivery. - Engaging in stakeholder management by presenting updates and insights to internal teams and clients. - Demonstrating leadership of the Scrum team and acting as a Subject Matter Expert in product-related discussions. - Conducting market research and product fit analysis, including target market and competitor analysis when required. - Proposing strategies and managing regular reviews of existing offerings and operating models to identify opportunities for improvements. - Overseeing multiple projects concurrently and proactively driving new business initiatives. - Using data to drive decisions on product enhancement and setting up and adjusting KPIs to determine success for product objectives. Qualifications required for this role include: Required: - A bachelor's degree with 15+ years of relevant experience, including 8+ years of demonstrated experience in product management. - Proven experience in managing products and services over the entire lifecycle. - Ability to articulate ideas clearly to stakeholders and clients through various communication channels. - Willingness to work at varying levels within the business and present ideas to senior leaders. Preferred: - Ability to create and promote a culture of product management excellence and innovation. - Knowledge of agile methodologies, including familiarity with Scrum or Kanban frameworks. - Experience with the US retirement industry. Morningstar follows a hybrid work policy of 3 days onsite and 2 days remote work. If you accept an offer from Morningstar, you will need to disclose personal and related investments to the Compliance team for review. Additionally, certain employee accounts must be held with an approved broker.
