Job Description

  • The Sr. Manager -Procurement will play a crucial role in overseeing and optimizing our procurement operations within the fast-paced e-commerce environment. This position will report directly to the CFO and will be responsible for strategically managing the procurement function to ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing of goods and services. 1.

    Procurement Strategy:

    Develop and execute a comprehensive procurement strategy that aligns with the company's overall business objectives and growth plans. 2.

    Vendor Management:

    Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure advantageous terms and conditions while ensuring the highest quality of products and services. 3.

    Cost Optimization:

    Continuously monitor and analyze procurement processes to identify cost-saving opportunities, negotiate contracts, and manage budgets effectively. 4.

    Supplier Relationship Management

    : Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, addressing any issues and proactively seeking opportunities for collaboration and improvement. 5.

    Inventory Management:

    Collaborate with inventory management teams to ensure optimal stock levels while minimizing carrying costs and stockouts. 6.

    Compliance

    : Ensure procurement activities adhere to all relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards, including sustainability and ethical sourcing practices. 7.

    Team Leadership

    : Supervise and mentor a team of procurement professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, teamwork, and continuous improvement. 8.

    Market Research:

    Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market conditions, and emerging technologies to inform procurement decisions. 9.

    Risk Management

    : Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies related to procurement, including supply chain disruptions and market volatility. 10

    . Reporting and Analysis:

    Generate and present reports on procurement performance, cost savings, and key performance indicators to senior management Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred). 8 to 15 years of experience Proven experience in procurement or supply chain management, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role. Strong negotiation, contract management, and vendor relationship management skills. In-depth knowledge of procurement best practices and industry trends. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to analyze data, make data-driven decisions, and report on key metrics. Strong leadership and team management abilities. Proficiency in procurement software and tools. Excellent Communication Skills Clarity of Thought (Sequential/logical presentation in explaining a subject matter)
