Senior Process Engineer

As a Manufacturing Sr. Engineer at Dashmesh Mechanical Works (LANDFORCE) in Amargarh, Punjab, India, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness. Working within the Manufacturing/Engineering department, you will report directly to the Operations head/Plant head. Your primary responsibility will involve developing and refining manufacturing processes and workflows, analyzing existing procedures for enhancement opportunities, and incorporating lean manufacturing techniques to boost operational efficiency. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will ensure that production processes are scalable, reliable, and aligned with industry standards. Leading projects related to process improvements, new equipment installations, and facility upgrades will be a key part of your role. You will work closely with project teams to ensure the successful and timely completion of these initiatives. Additionally, you will be responsible for developing quality control procedures, conducting root cause analysis for quality issues, and providing technical support for manufacturing operations. Documentation and reporting are crucial aspects of this position. You will be required to create and maintain detailed documentation for processes, procedures, and equipment, as well as prepare reports on manufacturing performance, project status, and improvement initiatives. Ensuring compliance with industry regulations and safety standards while promoting a culture of safety and continuous improvement within the manufacturing environment will also be part of your responsibilities. To qualify for this role, you should possess a Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications such as Six Sigma or PMP are considered a plus. With 5-8 years of experience in manufacturing engineering or a related field, proficiency in CAD software, knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, and excellent problem-solving and analytical skills are essential. Strong communication, teamwork, and project management skills are also required. This full-time position will require you to work in typical office and manufacturing floor environments. Occasional travel to other company locations or vendors may be necessary, along with the ability to stand for extended periods and work with manufacturing equipment.
