Senior Process Engineer

Role & responsibilities

Process Engineer, specialized in Oil and Gas upstream and refinery industry. FEED, Tenders and Detailed Engineering projects. Strong expertise in industry codes and technical specifications are required.

Duties, Responsibilities and Authorities will include:

• Independently develop Process Design Basis, Steady-state simulations (Aspen HYSYS), PFDs, P&IDs,Process Descriptions,Utility Summaries ,Operation& Control Philosophies, Equipment/Instrument Datasheets , Flare load Summary, Flare Network Analysis( FlareNet) and other process deliverables.
• Conceptualization of Process philosophy documents such as Isolation Philosophy, Flare & Blowdown Philosophy, Emergency Shutdown Philosophy etc.
• Review process deliverables ensuring completeness, accuracy, adherence to applicable codes & standards and design optimization
• As Area Lead, take full responsibility of Process design and engineering activities and manage project schedule for the specific area.
• Guide, mentor and develop junior process engineers
• Lead HAZOP, HAZID, SIL studies etc. from Process point of view and implement recommendations.
• Attend and coordinate design review meetings with Clients or Vendors.
• Review vendor offers, perform Technical Bid Evaluations (TBE), and ensure design compliance.
• Coordinate with design teams (mechanical, instrumentation, plant design & piping) for IDC checks.
• Assist in commissioning, startup, and troubleshooting at client sites as needed.

Preferred candidate profile

• At least 12 years of experience

  in the Oil and Gas projects
• A bachelor degree in Chemical Engineering discipline.
• In-depth knowledge of relevant API standards like 521, 2000 etc., TEMA guidelines etc.
• Familiarity with corporate engineering procedures and ISO/QA standards.
• Experience in Thermal design of heat exchangers on HTRI
