Job Description

4 to 7+ years of experience as a Power BI Developer
Design, develop, and deploy interactive Power BI dashboards and reports using Power BI Desktop.
Experience in creating and optimizing mobile-friendly report layouts.
Experience in working with MySQL and Oracle databases.
Design and develop semantic data models using Power BI Desktop.
Ability to create interactive reports using slicers, filters, drill-down & drill-through.
Experience with bookmarks, buttons, and tooltips.
Deploy reports to Power BI Service and manage workspaces.
Build data models, perform data cleaning, and create calculated columns/measures using DAX.
Implement the appropriate Power BI data connectivity mode (Import, Direct Query, or Live Connection) based on system performance considerations, data volume, and organizational requirements.
Connect to data sources (SQL Server, Excel, SharePoint, APIs, etc.), transform data using Power Query (M Language).
Optimize data refresh schedules and query performance.
Implement and manage row-level security (RLS) on data.
Document report requirements, data logic, and user guides.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and understand business processes.
Support embedding the power BI reports into web application.
Experience with performance tuning (both Power BI and database level).
Solid understanding of data modeling concepts (Star Schema).

Responsibilities

Designs, modifies, develops, writes and implements software programming applications.
Builds design and coding standards to ensure consistency across applications.
Debugs problems with information systems using a variety of analytical skills, techniques, and resources
Routinely communicates status (problems encountered, and time remaining to complete) to leadership team.
