Job Description

About the Role:

Senior Power BI Developer

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable BI solutions
Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models
Write complex DAX formulas and Power Query (M) scripts to support business logic
Ensure report performance and scalability through optimization best practices
Implement and manage Row-Level Security (RLS) and data refresh schedules in Power BI Service
Work closely with data engineers to ensure data integrity and availability
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers
Stay current with new Power BI features and contribute to BI best practices within the organization

Required Skills & Experience:

5+ years of hands-on Power BI development experience
Strong command over DAX, Power Query (M), and Power BI Desktop
Proficiency in SQL and experience working with databases such as SQL Server or Oracle
Experience with data modeling (star schema, snowflake, normalization)
Familiarity with Power BI Service, including workspace management and deployments
Exposure to Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate) is a plus
Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Nice to Have:

Microsoft Power BI certification
Experience with cloud platforms like Azure or AWS
Understanding of ETL processes or tools
Experience in Agile development environments
