About The Role
Clavis Technologies is hiring an experienced Senior PHP Developer to work closely with one ofour most prestigious clients—a NASDAQ-listed, multi-billion-dollar (USD 2B+) global SaaS enter-prise in the field-services industry.You will collaborate directly with their product and engineering teams, contributing to a large-scale SaaS platform, modernizing legacy systems, and driving high-impact technical initiatives.This is a high-ownership role focused on enterprise-grade stability and modern developmentpractices.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and enhance features on a legacy PHP codebase (PHP 5.6 → PHP 8, Yii 1/Yii 2).
- Work closely with client-side product, engineering, and business teams to gather require-
- ments and deliver on tight timelines.
- Write clean, scalable, well-structured, and well-documented code.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior and mid-level developers.
- Take proactive ownership of modules—anticipating dependencies, identifying risks, and planing ahead.
- Deliver high-quality solutions with focus on performance, maintainability, and scalability.
- Debug and profile applications using tools such as xDebug.
- Contribute to front-end development using Vue.js 2, Vuex, axios, jQuery, SCSS, and HTML.
- Contribute to API development and system extensibility.
- Work with DevOps and tooling, including Docker, Docker Compose, Git, and modern work-flows.
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 10+ years of professional software development experience, primarily in PHP.
- Strong hands-on experience with PHP 5.6 – PHP 8 and solid OOP fundamentals.
- Expertise with Yii 1 and Yii 2 frameworks.
- Advanced knowledge of MySQL 8.
- Strong command over modern JavaScript libraries, specifically Vue.js 2, Vuex, axios, and jQuery.
- Good understanding of SCSS, HTML, and optionally Vite/Webpack.
- Experience working with Docker, Docker Compose, Git, and xDebug.
Proven experience upgrading PHP applications across major versions.
- Strong experience in API development and backend architecture.
Nice to Have
- Experience with C# / .NET.
- Exposure to React.
- Understanding of cloud environments or microservices (optional).
