We are looking for a Senior Node.js Backend Developer & Team Lead to lead our backend engineering efforts, architect scalable systems, and guide a team of passionate developers in building India’s next-generation social network.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize backend services using Node.js and TypeScript
• Architect reliable and high-performance APIs
• Lead technical discussions and make architectural decisions
• Work with PostgreSQL to design efficient schemas and queries
• Review code, guide best practices, and mentor junior developers
• Break product requirements into actionable engineering tasks and drive them to completion
• Work closely with product, design, and QA to ensure smooth delivery

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of professional experience in backend development
• Strong proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript
• Solid understanding of SQL databases hands-on with PostgreSQL preferred
• Good understanding of WebSocket and basics of WebRTC
• Hands-on experience with Redis (caching, queues, job processing)
• Experience designing scalable backend architectures
• Proven ability to lead small teams, make technical decisions, and uphold best practices
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
• Comfortable taking ownership and setting technical direction when needed

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD, and general DevOps environments
• Experience with event-driven architecture or microservices
• Experience in startup or product-based environments
• Understanding of performance optimization and monitoring tools
