Senior Naval Architect (Structures)

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Naval Architect to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in ship structures, advanced analysis, and proven leadership experience. This role requires both technical depth and the ability to mentor and lead teams, while collaborating effectively across functions to deliver innovative and robust engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage structural design, analysis, and evaluation of ship and offshore structures in compliance with classification society rules and industry standards.Perform advanced FEA (Finite Element Analysis) using ANSYS for structural integrity, strength, and fatigue assessments.Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and assistance to junior engineers and support their professional growth.Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, production, quality, and project management to ensure seamless execution of projects.Review and validate engineering deliverables such as structural drawings, calculations, and reports.Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, safety standards, and client specifications.Manage project schedules, deliverables, and resource allocation to meet organizational goals.

Qualifications

Education: BE/B.Tech/M.Tech in Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, or Civil Engineering.Experience: Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in ship structural design and analysis.Proficiency in FEA tools (ANSYS) with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Demonstrated team management and leadership capabilities.Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.Familiarity with classification society rules (ABS, DNV, LR, etc.) will be an added advantage.
