We are seeking a highly skilled MSSQL Database Administrator with 5- 6 years of hands-on experience in database administration and cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SQL Server, AWS, and Azure, with expertise in clustering, high availability, and cloud-based deployments. This role involves maintaining, optimizing, and securing our database environments across on-premises and cloud platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Install, configure, and maintain production and development SQL databases, including backups, recovery, patching, and upgrades.
Design, implement, and manage high-availability and clustering solutions (Always On, mirroring, log shipping, replication).
Manage and optimize Azure SQL Database and AWS RDS instances, ensuring high performance, scalability, and security.
Oversee cloud infrastructure setup and integration across AWS and Azure, including networking, security, and cost management.
Plan and execute database migrations to and from on-premises and cloud environments.
Conduct performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization for critical applications.
Collaborate with development teams on data modeling, schema design, and query optimization.
Monitor database health, storage utilization, and capacity planning.
Participate in on-call support rotations, including evening and weekend coverage when required.
Maintain comprehensive documentation and operational procedures.

Required Skills & Qualifications

5- 6 years of experience as an SQL Database Administrator in enterprise environments.
Strong hands-on experience in SQL Server administration, clustering, replication, and Always On configurations.
Proven experience with AWS (RDS, EC2, S3) and Azure (SQL Database, Managed Instance, Data Sync).
Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure, networking, and security best practices.
Strong knowledge of performance tuning, query optimization, and troubleshooting.
Experience with database migration and disaster recovery planning.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and team collaboration skills.
