Your success in this role will be evaluated based on key critical skills including experience with credit risk management, manual underwriting techniques, and job-specific skillsets. **Key Responsibilities:** - Identify potential red flags and discrepancies in applications that may indicate fraud or credit risk. - Analyze loan applications, including income verification, employment history, credit reports, asset valuation, and property details. **Qualifications Required:** - Prior experience in manual Mortgage Underwriting in a bank or related industry. - General understanding of the regulatory framework that applies to lending operations and the risk function. - Experience in credit decision systems such as Experian and Trans Union. - Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. - Regulation/Legislation Awareness - Knowledge of the Regulated Financial Services environment. In addition to the above, some highly valued skills include holding a CA or MBA (CFA/FRM added advantage).
