Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for a Senior Mortgage Underwriter. As a key member of the underwriting team, the Senior Mortgage Underwriter will evaluate loan applications to ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and organizational policies. Responsibilities include analyzing financial documents, assessing creditworthiness, reviewing loan-to-value ratios, and providing decisions on loan approvals or conditions. Collaboration with loan processing, origination teams, and other stakeholders is integral to this role.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in Mortgage Industry and Mortgage Underwriting processes
• Comprehensive knowledge of Underwriting principles and best practices
• Proficiency in handling Mortgages and understanding loan structures
• Exceptional Analytical Skills to assess financial data and make informed decisions
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management abilities
• Strong communication and decision-making skills
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in mortgage underwriting and loan origination
• FHA/VA DE Certification or relevant credentials (preferred)
• Proficiency in mortgage-related software and tools is a plus
