Senior Merchandiser

As a Buyer Communication Specialist, your role involves ensuring all necessary clarifications are sought in a timely manner to facilitate smooth operations. Your key responsibilities will include: - Coordinating day-to-day activities with the production team. - Managing fabric and trim orders, as well as following up on these orders. - Overseeing and improving the performance of all merchandising functions such as development, costing, and pre-production. - Ensuring that Product Commitment Dates (PCDs) committed to Production Planning and Control (PPC) are met. - Finalizing cost sheets for all products and negotiating with buyers to meet prices within the management's advised brackets. - Closing negotiations on time and ensuring timely receipt of ordersheets from buyers. - Proactively identifying and addressing any bottlenecks in processes to ensure timely product delivery. - Working towards achieving the Key Result Area (KRA) of business growth. - Collaborating with the design team to introduce new products based on prospective buyers" preferences. In addition to the above responsibilities, the ideal candidate for this role should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar capacity.
