Senior Merchandiser

As a Buyer, your primary responsibility will be to ensure effective communication with suppliers to clarify any necessary details in a timely manner. You will also be coordinating daily activities with the production team, managing fabric and trim orders, and overseeing follow-ups for these orders. Additionally, you will be tasked with improving the performance of various merchandising functions such as development, costing, and pre-production. One of your key objectives will be to ensure that the Production Completion Dates (PCDs) committed to Production Planning and Control (PPC) are met. You will be finalizing cost sheets for all products, negotiating prices with buyers to align with management's guidelines, and ensuring that all negotiations are concluded promptly. It will be crucial for you to receive order sheets from buyers within the specified timelines. You will need to proactively identify and address any bottlenecks in processes to ensure the timely delivery of products. A key Key Result Area (KRA) for this role is driving business growth. Furthermore, having design skills to collaborate with the design team in introducing new products based on potential buyers" preferences is essential. The ideal candidate for this position should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
