The Role We are looking for a seasoned, senior Technology Operations Manager to become an integral part of our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be a Scrum Master, have a proven track record of successfully running multiple squads in a remote environment, along with a foundational understanding of front-end development, QA processes with an overarching product mindset. As a Scrum Master, you will play a crucial role in fostering Agile principles, facilitating collaboration, and ensuring the successful delivery of tech deliverables. Key Responsibilities § Agile Leadership: § Lead multiple cross-functional Agile teams as a Scrum Master, ensuring adherence to Agile principles and practices. § Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and transparency within the squads. § Facilitation and Communication: § Conduct and facilitate Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. § Effectively communicate team progress, impediments, and dependencies to stakeholders, ensuring alignment on project goals. § Remote Collaboration: § Implement strategies for effective remote collaboration, addressing challenges and promoting a cohesive team dynamic. § Utilize remote collaboration tools to enhance communication and coordination across distributed teams. § Product Backlog Management: § Collaborate with product owners to refine and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring alignment with business objectives. § Assist in defining user stories, acceptance criteria, and other relevant product documentation. § Impediment Resolution: § Identify and manage impediments, working proactively to remove obstacles that hinder team progress. § Escalate issues when necessary to ensure timely resolution. § Coaching and Mentorship: § Coach and mentor team members on Agile principles, Scrum practices, and continuous improvement. § Provide guidance on best practices for Agile development and foster a culture of learning and development. § Cross-Functional Collaboration: § Collaborate with other Scrum Masters, product managers, and stakeholders to ensure alignment on organizational goals and priorities. § Encourage cross-functional collaboration and knowledge sharing among teams. § Big Picture Thinking and Attention to Detail: § Cultivate a balance between big-picture thinking and attention to detail, ensuring that overall project objectives align with organizational goals while maintaining a focus on the specifics of each sprint. § Conduct regular reviews of project progress to ensure alignment with long-term objectives while addressing day-to-day tasks and potential roadblocks. § Quality Assurance Readiness: § Understand QA and be hands on with QA processes as well as conduct self QA as needed. § Ensure quality assurance processes are integrated seamlessly into the development lifecycle. Key requirements for the role § Scrum Master Expertise: § Proven experience as a Scrum Master, overseeing multiple squads in a distributed (remote) environment. § Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, Scrum framework, and best practices. § Front-End Development Knowledge: § Basic front-end development skills, including familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. § Ability to engage in technical discussions with development teams and contribute to informed decision-making. § Communication Skills: § Excellent verbal and written communication skills, especially in a remote working context. § Ability to convey complex ideas and facilitate discussions effectively. § Product Mindset: § Demonstrated experience with a product-oriented mindset, focusing on delivering value to end-users. § Understanding of product development lifecycles and processes. § Certification: § Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM, or equivalent) is preferred. § Additional Agile certifications and ongoing professional development are a plus. § Team Collaboration: § Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and leadership to achieve common goals. § Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to fostering a positive team environment. § Big Picture Thinking and Attention to Detail: § Demonstrated ability to think strategically about project goals and contribute to the broader organizational vision. § Keen attention to detail to address specific requirements, user stories, and potential challenges within each sprint. § Quality Assurance Readiness: § Familiarity with quality assurance processes and a commitment to delivering high-quality software. § Proven experience in preparing development teams for effective collaboration with QA teams, resulting in efficient and timely testing processes. § Language Proficiency: § Fluent in English, with strong verbal and written communication skills. § Proficient in Hindi, enabling effective communication with team members, stakeholders, and collaborators who may use Hindi as their primary language.
