Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Lead and oversee preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of HEMM such as Dumpers, Dozers, Excavators, Loaders, Graders, and Drills.
Develop and implement maintenance strategies to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
Supervise and guide maintenance teams (engineers, foremen, technicians) in daily operations.
Monitor critical parameters like availability, utilization, mean time between failures (MTBF), and maintenance cost.

Technical Expertise:

Analyze recurring failures and implement root cause corrective actions.
Lead major overhauls and commissioning of new equipment.
Ensure compliance with OEM guidelines and best maintenance practices.
Implement condition-based monitoring systems (oil analysis, vibration analysis, etc.).

Preferred candidate profile

Diploma / B.E. / B. Tech in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering.
Experience Required:
15 - 20 years
Strong knowledge of HEMM systems mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical.
Experience with equipment from CAT, Komatsu, BEML, Tata Hitachi, or similar OEMs.
Proven ability to manage large fleets in open-cast mining operations.
Expertise in maintenance planning and failure analysis.
Leadership, decision-making, and team management skills.
Excellent understanding of safety norms and statutory compliance in mining,
