Install, configure, maintain, and harden Linux servers (primarily RHEL/SLES) supporting SAP landscapes
Perform day-to-day OS administration tasks including patching, tuning, disk/storage management, and backup coordination specifically for SAP systems.
Work closely with SAP Basis team to support SAP kernel upgrades, system copies, and performance optimization activities.
Manage Linux clusters and HA configurations for SAP HANA, Application Server (ASCS/ERS), and Central Services.
Monitor and troubleshoot SAP-related infrastructure issues including OS-level logs, I/O bottlenecks, memory and CPU usage.
Coordinate with network, storage, and backup teams for end-to-end infrastructure support.
Support virtualization (VMware/KVM) and cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP) hosting SAP workloads.
Automate routine tasks and deployments using scripting (Bash, Python) or tools like Ansible.
Maintain system documentation, inventory, and SOPs relevant to SAP infrastructure.
Ensure compliance with IT security, audit, and data protection policies (especially for regulated industries).
Experience in Commvault Backup
Experience with SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES) and/or Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
Familiarity with SAP Notes, PAM (Product Availability Matrix), and OS-level SAP tuning guidelines.
Strong scripting skills (Bash/Python) and experience with automation/configuration tools (Ansible, Puppet).
Knowledge of Linux-based HA clustering solutions for SAP (e.g., Pacemaker, SUSE HA
