Job Description

Legal Advisory & Commercial Contracting

Provide legal advice on commercial transactions, including distributor and dealer agreements, procurement agreements and supply agreements
Review and advice on government tenders, public procurement processes and purchase orders from government and private healthcare institutions
Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial agreements with a focus on risk mitigation and business enablement
Support strategic business initiatives and partnerships across multiple business areas

Compliance & Risk Management

Develop and implement legal policies, procedures, and standardized agreement templates
Conduct legal audits of business functions to ensure compliance with applicable laws, contracts, and Philips policies
Build awareness of legal risk exposures across the organization through training and advisory
Monitor regulatory developments relevant to the medical devices and healthcare industry

Dispute Resolution & Litigation Management

Manage and defend litigation, claims, and disputes, including coordination with external counsel
Lead dispute resolution through negotiation, mediation, and arbitration
Provide guidance on dispute prevention and contractual risk management

Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration

Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on impactful business decisions
Lead and contribute to multi-disciplinary projects involving multiple functions and geographies
Influence stakeholders without direct authority in a matrix environment

Required Qualifications & Experience

Education

Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from a recognized institution
Company Secretary (CS) qualification is desirable

Experience

10 years of progressive legal experience in corporate and/or law firm settings in commercial contracts, litigation management, regulatory compliance, and general corporate advisory
Experience in healthcare industry is desirable
