Job Title: SENIOR LEGAL COUNSEL

Location: Bengaluru

Experience:8 to 10 years exposure in contracting for outsourcing services preferably in IT & Engineering sectors.

Job Description

• Lead and mentor the legal team, ensuring effective collaboration and professional development.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts across jurisdictions (US, India, Germany), ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Provide legal advice and support to internal teams, managing stakeholder communication and compliance with laws and policies.
• Identify and mitigate legal risks in business operations, contracts, and new initiatives.
• Oversee compliance programs, including data privacy, anti-corruption, and trade regulations.
• Conduct legal research and deliver timely, practical guidance to support business decisions.

Education & Experience

LLB (duly admitted to the Bar Council)

Approx 5 years of working experience in-house a global company

Required Skills & Qualifications

Exposure to compliance including data privacy, anti-corruption, export control and trade sanction would be preferred.

Some exposure to IP rights would be preferred

Some expertise in defence contract will be appreciated.

Some expertise on US or German laws will be appreciated

Exposure using AI tools for legal management

Excellent legal acumen and analytical skills.

Strong networking skills and is exposed to interacting with internal stakeholders

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written and fluent in English and a regional language

Business and service minded with excellent problem-solving skill and is used to explain legal risk to internal and external stakeholder

Strongly understands business ethics integrity
