Senior Java Engineer

You should possess strong programming skills with over 6 years of experience, demonstrating proficiency as a Java engineer. Your knowledge should extend to Java, multithreading, and object-oriented programming (OOP) concepts. It is essential to be tech-savvy and eager to learn new skills, staying updated with industry trends. Hands-on experience with various AWS services like EC2, ECS, Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, DynamoDB, SNS, S3, Redis, and CloudWatch is required. Additionally, having a good understanding of event-driven architecture and practical experience with tools like Kafka is crucial. A solid grasp of web application fundamentals and experience in developing web services (REST or SOAP) within microservices architecture and domain-driven design is expected. Familiarity with core Spring Framework concepts such as IoC, DI, Spring Boot, Spring Security, and other Spring modules is necessary. Experience with API gateways like Apigee or similar platforms is also preferred. Proficiency in tools like Git, Jenkins, SonarQube, SignalFx, and others is essential. Experience with centralized logging tools like Splunk or similar is beneficial, as well as familiarity with microservices and distributed system architectures. It would be advantageous to have experience with Docker and ECS/EKS for containerized Java applications. Understanding of design patterns, caching, logging, troubleshooting, profiling, performance tuning, etc., would be considered a plus. In your desired profile, you should showcase strong experience with Agile SDLC methodologies, including Scrum, Kanban, and XP. Demonstrating the ability to work effectively with geographically distributed teams is important. Being a quick learner who can thrive in ambiguous environments, work independently with minimal supervision, and possess excellent problem-solving and analytical skills is crucial. Strong communication and coordination abilities are expected, along with an aptitude for sharing information and asking questions. An ownership mindset, initiative, and responsibility-taking are qualities that are highly valued.
