Job Summary:

Senior HVAC Technician

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, service, and repair a wide range of HVAC systems including split units, ducted systems, rooftop units, VRF/VRV systems, chillers, and air handling units (AHUs).
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control issues in HVAC equipment.
• Conduct preventive and scheduled maintenance to ensure system efficiency and longevity.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and blueprints.
• Coordinate and lead service calls and project installations with minimal supervision.
• Ensure all work is completed according to safety regulations, building codes, and manufacturer specifications.
• Maintain accurate service records, reports, and documentation.
• Assist in inventory management of parts and tools required for fieldwork.
• Provide technical guidance and training to junior HVAC technicians and apprentices.
• Communicate effectively with clients regarding service requirements, recommendations, and maintenance best practices.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on HVAC experience in a commercial/industrial setting.
• ITI/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC, or relevant technical certification.
• Valid HVAC Technician License or equivalent (as per regional requirement).
• Proficient in handling tools, gauges, and instruments related to HVAC systems.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC controls, refrigerants, electrical systems, and safety protocols.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks under pressure.
• Excellent problem-solving, time management, and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel to job sites.
