Job Description

1. Strategic HR & Workforce Planning

  • Partner with business leadership to design and execute HR strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Lead workforce planning, succession planning, and talent management to ensure future readiness.
  • Provide HR insights to support business growth, retail expansion, and operational efficiency.

2. Talent Acquisition, Staffing & Retention

  • Oversee end-to-end recruitment across stores, regions, and leadership roles with a strong focus on timely hiring for retail operations.
  • Implement high-volume hiring strategies and manpower planning for retail outlets.
  • Develop and execute retention initiatives to reduce attrition and boost engagement.

3. Performance Management & Capability Development

  • Lead performance appraisal systems and continuous feedback frameworks.
  • Drive performance improvement processes and enable capability-building interventions.
  • Identify training needs and design learning & development roadmaps, including leadership development.

4. Employee Relations & Engagement

  • Act as the escalation point for employee issues and grievances, ensuring fair and timely resolution.
  • Strengthen employee relations through effective communication, policy adherence, and cultural initiatives.
  • Ensure complete compliance with labour laws and organizational policies.

5. Diversity, Equity & Inclusion

  • Champion an inclusive workplace culture through DEI programs and policy implementation.
  • Drive initiatives to foster a diverse, collaborative, and equitable workforce.

6. Retail HR Operations Support

  • Partner closely with store leadership to streamline HR operations including scheduling, resourcing, and manpower optimization.
  • Address store-level challenges such as attrition, absenteeism, and festive/seasonal hiring.
  • Ensure strong HR support for regional operations.

7. Compliance, Governance & Risk Management

  • Ensure adherence to labour regulations, statutory compliance, and audit requirements.
  • Develop and maintain systems and processes that mitigate operational and legal risks.

Key Requirements

  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic retail environment with multiple priorities.
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and compliance frameworks.
  • Demonstrated success in employee engagement, performance management, and retention strategies.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in HRIS platforms and MS Office Suite.
