Job Description Summary: What you need to know about the role As a Security Solutions Engineer in the CryptoServ Team you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining security solutions within our Crypto business unit used by all of PayPal Developers. You will be responsible for working with both software and hardware security modules (HSMs) and ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of cryptographic operations providing high-performance, high-volume cryptographic API services at PayPal’s scale. This role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate security solutions into our products. Meet our team Our talented team of Engineers utilize innovative, and passionate security solutions supporting Platform Cryptography. We provide Encryption as a Service for PayPal as a whole and our solutions at performance levels not achieved by current commercial offerings. Job Description: Your way to impact Responsible for developing and integrating cryptographic algorithms to support various applications across PayPal. You will specialize in building highly available, scalable and durable software products, tools and services to support PayPal global growth. Your day to day Lead the development and execution of various security software projects, that will include coding languages such as Golang and preferably Java, NodeJs. Design and develop highly scalable and available applications for mission-critical systems Be a strategic thinker and problem solver Proficient at recognizing the “true root causes” when existing solutions or processes limit success Collaborate with product management to design or simplify APIs Familiar with and able to code and test integrations with various payments HSMs’ (hardware security modules), such as Thales 10K Lead the creation of innovative across components and solutions supporting various stacks. Design and develop highly scalable and available applications for mission-critical systems Support In-store Payment Cryptography for Web transactions supported by Google Pay and Apple Pay Ability to diagnose and resolve complex issue related to cryptography & PKI. What do you need to bring 7+ years of overall experience 4+ years of exp in Software Development experience with Golang. 3+ years of Cryptography exp with understanding on TLS, PKI. 2+ years of exp. with cloud based key management service (KMS) provided by AWS / GCP. Experience with kubernetes.
