Senior Full-Stack WordPress Architect

About The Role

Own the architecture and end-to-end delivery of complex WordPress builds—designing robust plugins, APIs, and frontends that are secure, performant, and maintainable.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement WordPress plugins, data models, APIs, caching/CDN, and CI/CD.
• Build responsive, accessible UIs from Figma (HTML/CSS/JS); Elementor.
• Optimize Core Web Vitals; enforce security best practices.
• Write brief design notes, estimate sanely, and work independently and proactively.
• Triage and resolve bugs from ClickUp (and occasionally Slack): reproduce, identify root cause (code vs user error), fix, and ship patches with clear updates.
• Communicate risks/trade-offs early.
• Suggest improvements when possible, voice risks when seen.
  

Requirements

• 7+ years with PHP and advanced WordPress plugin development (hooks/filters, REST, cron, capabilities, security, multisite).
• Strong frontend skills (semantic HTML/CSS, JS; Performance mindset).
• Composer, Git,;.
• Fluent English; reliable internet; self-directed.
  

Mandatory

• AI-first workflow: daily LLM use with paid access (e.g., ChatGPT/Claude/Copilot/Cursor), safe prompt hygiene, and ability to explain when/why AI is used. If you don’t have paid access, we will provide a team seat.
  

Nice to have

• WooCommerce, Cloudflare Workers, advanced git workflows.
  

Engagement type

• Shift Time: 1:30 PM to 10:30 PM IST remotely
• Job Type: Full Time Contract for 6 Months (extendable)
• Device: Talent will have to use his own
• Remote Readiness: Should be available on team video call for all work/client meetings during working hours
