🌺 Avas Flowers, a leading nationwide floral e-commerce brand, is seeking a highly experienced Senior Finance Expert to own and optimize financial operations. This role is critical to ensuring accuracy, transparency, and strategic financial control across all cash flows, reconciliations, and multi-platform transactions.

About the Role

We are looking for a senior-level finance professional with deep experience in e-commerce financial ecosystems, including multi-gateway payment flows, vendor/partner settlements, order-level revenue tracking, chargebacks, refunds, and bank-to-platform reconciliations.

You will lead the finance operations that keep our business running smoothly and accurately. This is a hands-on, analytical, and detail-driven position.

🧾 Key Responsibilities

1. Reconciliation Ownership

-Perform daily, weekly, and monthly payment gateway reconciliations (Stripe, PayPal, Authorize.net, Shopify Payments, etc.).

-Match order-level revenue to settlement deposits across multiple platforms.

-Investigate and resolve discrepancies, missing transactions, or incorrect mappings.

-Oversee transaction-level reconciliation for refunds, chargebacks, credits, and fees.

2. Cash Movement & Treasury Management

-Monitor, track, and forecast cash inflows and outflows across all financial accounts.

-Maintain accurate reporting of bank balances, reserves, rolling payouts, and liabilities.

-Work with banks and processors to resolve settlement delays or unusual cash fluctuations.

3. Financial Reporting & Controls

-Prepare structured daily/weekly finance dashboards and variance reports.

-Strengthen internal controls for financial accuracy and fraud prevention.

-Assist with monthly close: accruals, revenue recognition, adjustments, and financial statements.

4. Cross-Functional Collaboration

-Work closely with operations, accounting, marketing, and customer support to validate financial data.

-Communicate findings and risks to leadership with clarity and actionable insights.

Requirements

• 5+ years

  of finance or accounting experience (preferably in e-commerce or high-transaction environments).
• Expert in

  payment gateway reconciliation

  and handling large volumes of transactions.
• Strong mastery of

  Excel/Google Sheets

  , financial systems, and reconciliation tools.
• Experience with

  chargebacks, refunds, and merchant processor reporting

  .
• High attention to detail and strong analytical mindset.
• Ability to work independently, communicate effectively, and meet deadlines consistently.

⭐ Preferred Qualifications

• Experience e-commerce a plus.
• Familiarity with

  Shopify, Magento, custom carts, and multi-gateway setups

  .
• Prior experience designing or improving reconciliation processes.
• CPA or related finance certification is an advantage but not required.

Rate: $16-18 per hour, base on experience.
