Chief Information Officer (CIO) / CTO-Level Technology Leader (Remote)

We’re seeking a seasoned CIO or senior technology executive to guide and oversee our company’s technology initiatives. While we don't require hands-on coding, we’re looking for someone capable of leading technical strategy, ensuring engineering discipline across teams, and delivering executive-level insights to drive digital transformation, scale operations, and boost productivity.

The ideal candidate will not only lead technology vision, but also act as a critical partner to ensure our product and engineering teams remain accountable and efficient. We're a fast-paced, high-growth environment looking for someone with a strategic mindset and proven leadership in startups or enterprise settings.

Responsibilities:

• Define and drive the company’s technology roadmap aligned with business KPIs.
• Oversee engineering team processes and ensure teams are meeting expectations and delivery standards.
• Partner with executive leadership to evaluate technical investments and infrastructure planning.
• Guide automation and AI/ML initiatives to improve scalability and internal efficiencies.
• Offer high-level advisory on regulatory compliance, security, and cloud infrastructure decisions.
• Lead and mentor tech leads, ensuring team alignment with the company’s long-term goals.
• Serve as a bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders (sales, marketing, customer success, etc.).

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Proven experience as a CIO, CTO, VP of Engineering, or equivalent in a high-growth startup or enterprise.
• Strong background in cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, or OCI) and modern software architectures (SaaS, IaaS, microservices).
• Demonstrated success in managing distributed teams and scaling technology organizations.
• Knowledge of digital transformation, AI/ML integration, and Agile methodologies.
• Strong leadership and communication skills—capable of presenting at board-level and translating complex technology into actionable business decisions.
• Ability to drive accountability and performance without micromanaging.
• Past experience launching PoCs, managing budgets, and optimizing cross-functional teams is a plus.
