About the Role

Senior Subject Matter Expert (SME)

designing control system architectures, defining modernization roadmaps, and enabling Industry 4.0 connectivity

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with solution and engagement teams to

  design PLC/DCS/SCADA architectures

  for brownfield and greenfield automation projects.
• Shape

  edge/IIoT and OPC UA pub-sub

  connectivity strategies for scalable, interoperable systems.
• Define

  cybersecurity frameworks

  in line with

  ISA/IEC-62443

  lifecycle standards.
• Support

  IEC 61131-3 programming standardization

  across automation projects.
• Evaluate and advise on

  Capex/Opex

  cases for automation modernization and control upgrades.
• Drive

  integration of OT and IT

  systems for digital twins, predictive maintenance, and real-time analytics.
• Partner with cross-functional leaders to ensure uptime, safety, and compliance through robust automation design.

Technical Expertise

• Deep understanding of

  PLC/DCS/SCADA

  systems (Siemens, Rockwell, ABB, Schneider, Honeywell, etc.)
• Familiarity with

  OPC UA pub-sub

  ,

  edge computing

  , and IIoT device integration.
• Knowledge of

  ISA/IEC-62443 cybersecurity

  lifecycle for OT systems.
• Proficiency in

  IEC 61131-3 programming languages

  (LD, FBD, ST, SFC).
• Experience with

  brownfield integration

  and modernization of legacy control systems.

Business Expertise

• Proven experience preparing

  Capex/Opex justifications

  for automation upgrades.
• Strong focus on

  safety integrity, uptime improvement, and ROI measurement.

• Exposure to

  digital manufacturing, smart plants, or control system transformation

  programs.
• Experience leading

  cross-functional automation or controls projects

  in process or discrete manufacturing industries.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• 12–15+ years of experience in

  industrial automation / control systems / OT architecture

• Current or recent exposure to

  digital transformation or smart factory

  programs.
• Strategic mindset with the ability to connect

  technical excellence with business value

• Excellent communication skills for engaging both technical and executive stakeholders.
