Job Purpose

To ensure regulatory compliance with all statutory laws and regulations pertaining to employee welfare, including Provident Fund (PF), Employee State Insurance Corporation (ESIC), Professional Tax (PT), Labor Welfare Fund (LWF), and other relevant laws across India. The role involves managing registrations, filing returns, conducting inspections, liaising with government authorities, and ensuring the organizations compliance with all labor-related regulations.

Roles Responsibilities

Key Responsibility Areas

Objective Key Responsibilities

(OKRs)

Ensure timely and accurate compliance with statutory requirements including PF, ESIC, PT, and LWF regulations.
Manage and execute PAN India registrations for various labor laws such as CLRA, BOCW, and ISMW.
Maintain records and filings for statutory returns, including Employment Exchange, POSH, CLRA, BOCW, and PT Returns.
Liaise with government authorities and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with all labor laws and resolve any related issues.
Conduct audits, inspections, and reconciliation of compliance data.
Develop and implement internal compliance policies and provide compliance-related guidance to internal teams.
Ensure continuous improvement in compliance processes, documentation, and reporting.

Key Performance Indicators

Timeliness and accuracy in the filing of statutory returns and payments related to PF, ESIC, PT, and LWF.
Successful PAN India registrations for labor licenses under CLRA, BOCW, ISMW, and other applicable laws.
Compliance audit results (internal/external).
Successful completion of statutory inspections and reconciliation reports.
Employee satisfaction regarding compliance-related queries and resolutions.
Efficient liaison with government officials and regulatory bodies

Organizational Accountabilities

Ensure the organization s compliance with all labor laws and statutory regulations at the national level.
Implement compliance strategies and best practices to ensure a legally compliant and risk-free working environment.
Maintain updated records of compliance activities and create reports for senior management.
Regularly review and update internal compliance procedures and policies in line with evolving regulations.
Assist with the coordination of audits, statutory inspections, and other compliance-related activities across the organization.

Job Qualifications and Requirements

Knowledge and Experience

A strong understanding of labor laws including PF, ESIC, PT, LWF, CLRA, BOCW, and ISMW across all Indian states.
Hands-on experience with filing returns, payment challans, and ensuring compliance with regulatory bodies.
5-8 years of experience in a compliance or regulatory role, preferably within the EPC industry or similar sectors.
Experience in compliance management systems (CMS) and regulatory portals (e.g., Simpliance, EY).
Ability to handle statutory inspections and audits, ensuring compliance standards are met.

Education and Certifications

Bachelor s degree in Law, Business Administration, or related field.
Relevant compliance certifications (e.g., Certified Compliance Professional, Labor Law Certification, etc.) are a plus.
Knowledge of compliance management software and proficiency in MS Office is essential.

Interpersonal Skills

Strong communication skills for effective liaison with government authorities, stakeholders, and internal teams.
Negotiation skills to handle third-party vendor contracts and service agreements.
Ability to train employees on compliance matters and foster a culture of compliance within the organization.
Strong teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple compliance-related tasks simultaneously.
