Job Description

Key purpose of the Job

Senior Executive - Occupational Health & Safety is responsible for implementing the Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) standards and compliance requirements for the concerned plant location.

Includes implementation of safety processes, monitoring adherence to safety standards by employees and contractors / outsourced staff, safety training, coordinating safety committee meetings and conducting OH&S audits for compliance.

Furthermore, the job holder is responsible for execute the vested duties and responsibilities in relation to the Health & Safety guidelines, instructions and protocols of the Organization

Key Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for implementation of checklists, inspections and audits of OH&S requirements, as per SOPs, statutory and compliance requirements
2. Coordinate plant OH&S initiatives, including safety training, safety committee meetings, reporting / investigation of incidents, PTW implementation, etc. 3. Work with the internal and external stake holders for achievement of plant OH&S objectives, including MIS and reporting as per guidelines

Education

Diploma in any discipline with Diploma or Certification in Industrial Safety

Experience

3 to 4+ years of relevant experience in the OHS function, preferably at the SBU/ plants Strong knowledge of functional laws and network in the local communities, outsourced vendor management and Industrial safety procedures
