Senior Executive Accountant/Chartered Accountant

We are looking for a skilled Senior Executive Accountant/Chartered Accountant with 5 to 7 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance & candidate must have experience in the construction industry.

Roles and Responsibility

• Manage comprehensive accounting operations, including financial reporting and analysis.

• Develop and implement effective accounting procedures and policies.

• Supervise and guide junior accountants and support staff.

• Prepare and review financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.

• Ensure compliance with tax laws, regulations, and statutory requirements.

• Coordinate with external auditors and respond to audit queries.

Financial Reporting & Analysis

• Prepare and Analyze Financial Statements:

  Produce accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and other management reports.

• Monitor Financial Data:

  Analyze accounting data, monitor financial performance, and identify trends to guide strategic business decisions.

• Budgeting and Forecasting:

  Assist with the preparation, implementation, and monitoring of annual budgets and financial forecasts.

Compliance & Controls

• Ensure Regulatory Compliance:

  Maintain compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and relevant tax laws and regulations.

• Develop and Implement Controls:

  Create, implement, and maintain internal accounting controls to safeguard assets and ensure the accuracy of financial data.

• Liaise with Auditors:

  Act as a key contact point for external and internal auditors, assisting them with audits and addressing any discrepancies.

Strategic & Advisory Roles

• Provide Financial Advice:

  Offer strategic financial advice to senior management on areas such as cost-saving measures, financial planning, and potential business improvements.

• Tax Planning:

  Manage and oversee tax services, including strategic tax planning for business entities and the preparation of tax returns.

Team & Process Management

• Lead and Mentor:

  Mentor and train junior accounting staff, supervising their work and fostering their professional growth.

• Improve Processes:

  Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems, procedures, and internal controls to enhance efficiency.

• Manage Projects:

  Lead financial projects and initiatives, and support the month-end and year-end financial close process.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CA or equivalent certification preferred.

• Minimum 5 years of proven experience in accounting, focusing on team management and comprehensive accounting operations.

• Strong knowledge of accounting software, ERP systems, and advanced MS Excel.

• Experience with import-export procedures, GST, taxation, and MIS reporting.

• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Must have experience in the construction industry.
