Job Responsibilities:
Roles & Responsibilities:
§ Manage the product development process for compliance to government standards, customer requirements and specifications, engineering and manufacturing principles, and company standards to achieve profitability and craftsmanship expectations. Knowledge of government and OEM specifications in area of expertise
§ Manage timely product releases and engineering changes that adhere to program schedules. Oversees design studies and engineering changes for communization and standardization.
§ Participate in program review management meetings with Customer, Internal reviews.
§ Timely flag issues and present resolution plan.
§ Communication with the customer and suppliers and within the company to ensure timely and effective completion of engineering commitments as well as changes in direction.
§ Assure high productivity while maintaining reasonable expectations of the engineering team.
§ Monitor metrics that demonstrate the effectiveness of the engineering release. Proficient with design processes and release methods.
§ Document Lessons learnt, provide the information to other team members to deploy the same across other engineering programs by updating engineering best practices, guidelines DFMEA and other engineering tools.
§ Strong organizational skills and the ability to successfully coordinate and complete multiple tasks within and across departments to meet established and changing deadlines.
§ Recruit, coach and counsel employees for success, conducts performance reviews and assists employees with career development planning and training. Provide direction and support to Co-ops/Interns/Apprentices as required.
§ Ensure adherence to company, departmental and health and safety systems and policies to meet legislative requirements.
Plan track & present engineering budget to management.
Qualification & Experience:
15+ Year experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Production/Automobile Engineering
