Senior Engineer, Solutions Automation

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role located in Chennai for a Senior Engineer, Solutions Automation. The Senior Engineer will be responsible for developing software solutions, providing consulting and integration services, working closely with the sales and presales teams to drive customer success, and ensuring seamless implementation of our broadband platform and managed services. Day-to-day tasks will include designing, coding, testing, and deploying automation solutions to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our offerings.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Run, analyze, report and maintain regression test suites.
• Design, create and refine automation scripts using Python or Robot Framework for access network product.
• Trouble shooting router, switch, OLT, home gateway, L2/L3 protocol and Cloud issues found during the test.
• Keep improve automation test efficiency and script stability.        
• Co-work with development team and others to improve automation coverage.

Qualifications:

• B.Tech, B.E, M.Tech or equivalent, MS Preferred. Branch (Electronics and Telecommunication, Applied Electronics, Computer Science).
• 5+ years of experience developing automation using one or more of the following: Python/Robot Framework/Perl/Shell/TCL/Ruby.
• 5+ years of experience with data communications or telecommunications product testing in one or more of the following areas DHCPv4/v6, IGMP, PIM, PPPoE, OMCI, NETCONF, BGP, ISIS, OSPF, MPLS, VPLS, PW etc.               
• Familiar with Linux system/tools.
• Experience with CI, Bamboo, Jenkins, Git, bitbucket, Jira.
• Excellent communication skills and a good team player.
• Self-motivated, persistent, fast learner, and innovative

Preferred Qualifications:

• Hands on experience on executing and maintaining regression test suites.
• Hands on experience with traffic generators such as IXIA, STC.
• Hands on experience with Datacom Testing.
