Job Description

As a Professional or near-Professional Engineer with 8 to 12 years of work experience, including managing multi-disciplinary projects, your role will involve ensuring the technical delivery of highway designs, Traffic Control, Maintenance of Traffic, Traffic Planning, Aviation, and Value Engineering. You will also be responsible for delivering projects within budget, quality, and programme constraints for the US and/or International market. Your familiarity with US/UK highway standards is desirable, along with proficiency in MS Outlook and MS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point). Cultural awareness, an open mind, and excellent English communication skills are essential for this role. Key Responsibilities: - Provide technical guidance, project management, and work brief preparation to enable the team to produce detailed designs for technical approval. - Actively manage technical design delivery for a number of US projects, liaising with WSP's US-based lead design teams to ensure project delivery within agreed schedule, quality, and budget constraints. - Work with locally based team leaders to ensure resources are fully utilized, and any surplus or shortfall in available staff/workload are identified and addressed effectively. - Set clear goals for team members, monitor their progress closely, and encourage them to deliver cost-effective solutions within the agreed programme. - Support less experienced team members through technical review, mentoring, and advice. Qualifications: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering. - Minimum 8 years of working experience in designing Highways, Motorways, Drainage systems, and Traffic Control. - Good written and spoken communication skills with fluency in English. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and design software such as Micro-Station, In Roads, Open Roads, Geopak, AutoCAD/AutoDesk, etc. - Awareness of current and emerging technical guidance for highways and drainage, along with a strong ability to manage numerous assignments simultaneously.
