Key Skills and Competencies: Expert knowledge of UK highways standards (DMRB, MCHW) and road design software (Open Roads, Civil 3D, AutoCAD). Strong leadership skills with experience managing large-scale highway projects. Excellent communication and client-handling skills, with the ability to explain complex issues clearly. Proficient in project and resource management, technical governance, and process improvement. Chartered Engineer status with a relevant professional institution (e.g., ICE, CIHT) is preferred. Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline. Minimum 12 years of experience in highways/roads design, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Check design and assessment calculations and review detailed drawings. Work on multiple projects concurrently with limited supervision. Produce designs, calculations, specifications and drawings to ensure that technical designs will provide appropriate solution. Plan, program, co-ordinate and write reports for specific projects. Proficient in Microsoft (MS) Office Suite Effective communicator and able to work under tight schedule. Competent level of client service management, i.e. able to interface with clients and to build and maintain lasting, positive relationships with our clients. Strong organizational and problem resolutions skills. Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of staff, technical specialists. Travel other job demands. Education and Experience A Bachelor s degree in Civil Engineering or Master s degree in Highway/Transportation Engineering with 5 to 8 years of experience in design and documentation of roadway/highway projects. Experience on international projects is a must. Software Skills: Knowledge of and project delivery in Open Roads is a must . Knowledge of Civil 3D and/or 12D is a plus.
