Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior DBA and Data Management Lead to join our team. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, strong leadership, and excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of our database infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security,and availability. You will also be the primary point of contactfor clients, buildingand maintaining strong relationships.

Responsibilities

• Database Administration:

• Manage and maintain on-premises and cloud-based (Azure)database environments.
• Design, implement, and optimize databasesolutions to supportbusiness requirements.
• Perform databaseperformance tuning, troubleshooting, and optimization.
• Implement and maintain backupand recovery procedures.
• Ensure databasesecurity and compliance with industry standards.
• Data Management:
• Develop and implement data management strategies and policies.
• Oversee data quality initiatives and ensure data integrity.
• Lead data migration projectsto cloud platforms.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data requirements.
• Team Leadership:
• Manage and mentor a team of DBAs.
• Assign tasks,provide guidance, and foster a collaborative work environment.
• Conduct performance reviews and providefeedback.
• Client Management:
• Build and maintain strongrelationships with clients.
• Understand clientneeds and providesolutions.

Communicate effectively with clients, both technical and non-technical.

• Manage client expectations and deliver projectson time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degreein Computer Science,Information Technology, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience as a DBA with a strong focus on SQL Server and Azure SQL Database.
• Proven experience in managing and leading database teams.
• Strong understanding of database design,implementation, and optimization.
• Experience with data warehousing and business intelligence tools.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as partof a team.
• Experience with cloud technologies, preferably Azure.
• Certifications in relevant databasetechnologies (e.g., MCSA,MCSE, Azure DatabaseAdministrator Associate) are preferred.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with scripting languages (Python, PowerShell).
• Knowledge of data modelingand ETL processes.
• Experience with data governance and compliance frameworks.
