Job Description We are looking for an experienced Data Modeler to join our agile team and support enterprise-level data initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud-based data modeling , preferably within the Azure ecosystem , and be able to design and implement robust data models that support scalable and efficient data pipelines. Responsibilities Design and implement conceptual, logical, and physical data models to support business needs. Develop and optimize SQL-based data structures and data warehouses for performance and scalability. Utilize Azure-based data services such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, and potentially Dremio for data virtualization. Collaborate with development teams to validate data model integration within application architecture. Create documentation such as Low-Level Designs, Unit Test Plans, and related technical artifacts. Participate in integration testing and bug fixing, ensuring alignment with organizational coding standards. Proactively manage workload, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively with both onshore and offshore teams. Participate in Agile/SCRUM ceremonies and contribute to team-wide planning and delivery goals. Support documentation and technical clearance processes such as OIS. Required Skills & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience. 8+ years of experience in data modeling, including proficiency with tools such as Erwin Data Modeler or similar. Strong hands-on experience with SQL, data warehousing, and relational databases. 5+ years of hands-on experience working with Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, and data virtualization tools like Dremio (preferred). Expertise in handling large datasets, performance tuning, and query optimization. Solid understanding of data structures, indexing strategies, and data integration techniques. Excellent communication skills—able to clearly articulate technical details to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Highly organized and self-driven with the ability to manage multiple deliverables and deadlines. Preferred Skills Experience in Agile/SCRUM environments. Familiarity with enterprise data governance and documentation standards.
