Job Title: Senior Data Engineer

Location: Hyderabad, India

Experience: 5–10 years


Job Summary:

Senior Data Engineer

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and optimize

    end-to-end data pipelines

    on

    Microsoft Azure

  • Build and maintain ETL/ELT workflows using

    Python

    and Azure services
  • Work with structured and unstructured data from multiple sources
  • Implement data models for analytics and reporting
  • Ensure data quality, reliability, performance, and security
  • Optimize data storage and query performance
  • Collaborate with data scientists, BI teams, and stakeholders
  • Perform code reviews and mentor junior data engineers
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines and follow best engineering practices
  • Troubleshoot production issues and improve system reliability

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in

    Data Engineering

  • Strong hands-on experience with

    Azure Data Services

    , such as:
  • Azure Data Factory
  • Azure Synapse Analytics
  • Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS Gen2)
  • Azure SQL / SQL Server
  • Strong proficiency in

    Python

    (data processing, scripting, automation)
  • Excellent SQL skills (complex queries, performance tuning)
  • Experience with

    big data concepts

    and distributed data processing
  • Experience with

    CI/CD

    , Git, and DevOps practices
  • Solid understanding of data modeling, warehousing, and ETL concepts

Good to Have

  • Experience with

    Spark / PySpark

  • Knowledge of

    Databricks

  • Exposure to

    streaming technologies

    (Kafka, Event Hubs)
  • Experience with

    Power BI

    or other BI tools
  • Azure certifications (e.g., DP-203)
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum environments
