The Role:

Senior Data Engineer

• Location:

  Hybrid – Pune, India (3 days onsite)

• Target Start:

  January 2025

• Compensation:

  ₹30,00,000 – ₹40,00,000 INR

Responsibilities:

• Architect, develop, and optimise

  cloud-native data pipelines

  and

  big data ecosystems

  using Azure technologies.
• Design and implement

  robust data ingestion, transformation, and enrichment workflows,

  ensuring high data quality, reliability, and consistency.
• Embed all key

  Non-Functional Requirements (security, performance, scalability, DR, compliance)

  into solution designs.
• Evaluate and prototype modern data technologies; lead

  Proofs of Concept (POCs)

  to drive continuous platform improvement.
• Collaborate with

  Data Governance

  teams to maintain high-quality metadata, lineage tracking, and compliance (e.g., Collibra).
• Promote

  data mesh principles

  , reusable data products, and best engineering practices across teams.
• Apply automation and DevSecOps practices using

  Terraform

  ,

  GitHub

  , and

  CI/CD pipelines

  to streamline deployment and operations.
• Partner with stakeholders across

  Product, Governance, Analytics, and Engineering

  to define technical requirements and deliver scalable solutions.
• Present technical architecture, solution design, and performance findings to technical and non-technical audiences.

What we're looking for in our applicants:

• 10+ years

  of hands-on experience in data engineering within enterprise or cloud-native environments.
• Proven experience building

  production-grade data pipelines

  on Azure (Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse, or equivalent).
• Strong proficiency in

  Python

  for data engineering, automation, and pipeline development.
• Deep understanding of

  data lake/data warehouse architectures

  and modern data platform patterns.
• Extensive experience with

  data migration

  , integration of distributed data sources, and handling large-scale datasets.
• Skilled in

  DevOps/CI/CD

  , Agile delivery, and automated deployment workflows.
• Experience collaborating with Data Governance, Cloud Engineering, and Product teams.
• Previous experience with

  Snowflake

  is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly.
