Senior Data Engineer

Role Description

We are seeking a full-time Senior Data Engineer to join our team on-site in Noida. In this role, you will design, develop, and deploy scalable data engineering solutions to support organizational goals. Responsibilities include data modeling, managing Extract Transform Load (ETL) processes, building and maintaining data pipelines, and implementing robust data warehousing solutions. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will utilize data analytics to provide insights and maintain the integrity and security of the data infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

Data Engineering & Architecture

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric and related technologies.
• Build and optimize data warehouse solutions to support enterprise reporting and analytics.
• Ensure data integrity, consistency, and performance across multiple sources and environments.
• Implement best practices for workspace settings, governance, and security in Power BI and Fabric.

Business Intelligence & Reporting

• Develop interactive Power BI dashboards and reports tailored to business needs.
• Write and optimize DAX measures and calculations for complex analytical requirements.
• Utilize Power Query for data transformation, cleansing, and integration.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into actionable BI solutions.

SQL & Data Management

• Write advanced SQL queries, stored procedures, and performance-tuned scripts for large datasets.
• Manage ETL processes and ensure efficient data movement between systems.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines, ensuring high availability and reliability.

Process Optimization & Governance

• Define and enforce workspace settings, access controls, and governance policies for BI environments.
• Establish and monitor KPIs for data quality, performance, and usage.
• Drive automation initiatives to reduce manual effort and improve efficiency.

Experience

• 7–10 years of experience in data engineering, BI development, or analytics.
• Proven track record of delivering enterprise-scale BI and data warehouse solutions.
• Experience in global or multi-regional environments is a plus.

Technical Skills

• Microsoft Fabric: Deep understanding of data pipelines, lakehouse, and integration capabilities.
• Power BI: Expertise in dashboards, reports, workspace settings, governance, and deployment pipelines.
• DAX: Strong ability to write complex measures and optimize performance.
• Power Query: Advanced data transformation and modeling skills.
• SQL: Proficiency in query optimization, stored procedures, and handling large datasets.
• Data Warehousing: Experience with dimensional modeling, star schemas, and performance tuning.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) for data solutions is desirable.
