Job Description

As a Support Engineer at Kaleris, you will play a crucial role in providing first and second level support to Kaleris TOS end users. Your excellent communication and organizational skills will be essential in responding to diverse customer needs and developing detailed cases related to software defects. You will collaborate with other technical resources to ensure timely resolution or escalation of service issues, demonstrating a strong understanding of technical issues related to Navis software. **Responsibilities:** - Provide support for internally developed software applications and troubleshoot customer system issues related to Kaleris/Navis products. - Manage cases and communications throughout the resolution process, collaborating with departments like Sustaining, QA, and Product release. - Verify, reproduce, and isolate application defects reported by customers, utilizing diagnostic tools and referencing materials like product manuals and release notes. - Participate in software implementations and upgrades at customer facilities as required. - Engage in account management activities for assigned accounts, including conducting regular conference calls and case reviews. **Requirements:** - An Engineering degree (BE/BTech) in Computer Science. - 2-5 years of technical support or product support experience, preferably in container terminal, shipping, or logistics industries. - Familiarity with diagnostic tools and understanding of relational database structures and web-based enterprise solutions. - Strong analytical and technical troubleshooting skills across various applications and technologies. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. - Inherent customer service and technical support orientation. - Willingness to travel and work extended hours under tight deadlines. - Teamwork skills and flexibility to work in shifts based on business requirements. **Additional Expertise:** - Experience with container terminals and automated container terminals is a plus. - Knowledge and experience in systems platform technologies such as Windows server, Networking technologies, Linux, MS SQL Server, Oracle, Java, EDI, Spring, Hibernate, and J2EE. - Hands-on experience with APIs, XML, JAVA, APACHE, and client-server applications. - Ability to write code using Groovy, Core Java extensions, or other programming languages. - Knowledge of diagnostic tools like Hyperic and relational database structures.
