Role: Senior Business Analyst Life sciences
Description:
The Senior Business Analyst plays a pivotal role within our Digital Excellence or Omnichannel
Engagement team, driving data-informed strategies in the pharmaceutical and life sciences domain.
This role requires a strong blend of digital marketing analytics, omnichannel strategy, and advanced
analytics expertise to translate data into actionable insights that enhance engagement across HCPs
(healthcare professionals), patients, and other key stakeholders.
The ideal candidate brings a deep understanding of digital engagement models in pharma, combined
with hands-on experience in omnichannel marketing—spanning CRM, rep-triggered campaigns,
email, social, field force, and digital media. You will collaborate cross-functionally with marketing,
sales, IT, and data teams to ensure that digital objectives are supported through robust data,
analytics, and reporting frameworks.
Skillset - Digital Marketing analytics, omnichannel strategy, advanced analytics, marketing analytics,
CRM systems, Basic knowledge on Databricks. Pharma datasets knowledge and experience.
Responsibilities:
• Lead the requirements gathering, documentation, and prioritization process for digital and
omnichannel analytics initiatives.
• Partner with cross-functional teams (digital marketing, sales, data science, IT) to define and
refine KPIs, engagement strategies, and data needs.
• Analyze digital and omnichannel campaign performance using data from CRM, marketing
automation, and digital platforms to generate actionable insights.
• Translate digital business objectives into technical requirements for data and analytics teams
to build effective dashboards, reports, and models.
• Facilitate workshops to identify pain points and opportunities in the digital customer journey
and engagement strategies.
• Develop and maintain detailed BRDs, FRDs, and user stories for analytics and reporting
projects.
• Support segmentation and targeting strategies for HCPs and patients based on digital
behavior, preferences, and engagement patterns.
• Ensure analytics solutions adhere to pharmaceutical compliance and data privacy regulations
(e.g., HIPAA, GDPR).
• Drive continuous improvement in data quality, digital processes, and omnichannel
performance metrics.
• Act as the bridge between business and technical/data teams, ensuring clear communication
and successful delivery of digital analytics solutions.
About You (Desired Profile):
• 6+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar digital analytics role, preferably
within the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry.
• Demonstrated expertise in digital marketing analytics, omnichannel strategy, and CRM-based
engagement.
• Proven experience with pharma omnichannel campaigns involving CRM, email, web, field
force, call centers, and digital media.
• Strong understanding of digital engagement processes, HCP and patient journeys, and brand
lifecycle management.
• Able to lead with data analysis and visualization tools such as SQL, Excel, Power BI, or
Tableau.
• Exposure to Databricks or similar modern data platforms is a plus.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to interface
across digital, technical, and leadership teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of making strategic recommendations
based on data.
• Familiarity with pharma compliance and data privacy standards (e.g., promotional codes,
consent management).
• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business, Information Systems, or a related field;
advanced degree (MBA, MPH, etc.) preferred.
• Experience with Veeva CRM, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Adobe Experience Cloud, or
similar digital engagement platforms is highly desirable.
• Understanding of customer journey mapping, segmentation, and personalization techniques
preferred.
