Senior Bookkeeper (UK)

We are looking for a skilled UK Accountant to join our team in India, with 2-5 years of experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and bookkeeping, with expertise in UK VAT and bookkeeping.

• Manage the accuracy and timely processing of quarterly VAT returns for UK clients.
• Create and maintain records of sales, purchases, and expenses, and record them in their respective accounting heads.
• Prepare and file VAT reports for UK companies quarterly, communicating with clients to ensure timely submission.
• Review bills, invoices, and VAT collected and paid, ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
• Maintain general ledger accounts by creating journal entries, reconciling accounts receivable, preparing monthly accruals, and analyzing and reconciling accounts payable ledgers.
• Adhere to financial procedures and finalize accounts as per statutory requirements and financial and operational controls to improve the P&L scenario.
• Perform categorization and execute reconciliations of bank transactions on a weekly and monthly basis, prepare invoices and raise bills monthly, and write emails for month-end queries and resolve them through emails.
• Facilitate payroll coordination, month-end close works, financial reporting, general ledger management, account payable/receivable processing, and meet daily team quality requirements.
• Review day-to-day processing of Accounts Payable & Receivable Transactions to ensure organizational finances are maintained in an effective, up-to-date, and accurate manner, and reconcile accounts, create, document, and post complex journal entries.

• Experience in UK bookkeeping and knowledge of UK VAT.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Office.
• A Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com) or Chartered Accountant (CA) is required, with a Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA/PGDM) or Master's degree in Commerce (M.Com) being preferred.
